REREC shines at Eldoret National Show 2022

Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC) emerged 1st position in three judging categories in the Eldoret National Show which was held from 28th February to 5th March 2022. Out of the four (4) stand judging categories that REREC participated in at the show, the Corporation emerged 1st position in; the best organization association in community/ service, the best non-agricultural based statutory board, and the best energy services and conservation sector. The CAS, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Cooperatives; Ms. Anne Nyaga awarded REREC with the (three) 3 trophies at the official opening ceremony of the Eldoret National Show. The CAS who visited the Corporation’s stand congratulated the team for the great work done as the Corporation strives to achieve 100% electricity connectivity to all Kenyans. The Corporation aimed to sensitize the general public on REREC’s mandates, projects, and achievements towards this year’s theme, “Promoting Innovation and Technology in Agriculture and Trade.” The Annual Show further provided an opportunity for the Corporation to engage and address customers’ inquiries and feedback on its services.

The Corporation’s stand enlightened residents of Uasin Gishu County on the services provided by the Energy Centre in the County as a one-stop shop for renewable energy solutions aimed at benefitting local communities. ASK Shows bring together participants from different regions and sectors of the economy in the country who come to exhibit their products and services. Eldoret Show was the first National show to be held after Covid 19 pandemic hit the country.
